Baileys Irish cream tiramisu
The holidays are coming soon and Baileys Irish cream tiramisu is a delicious dessert for christmas dinner. This recipe isn’t difficult to make and you can mix this dessert with many liquors. For this recipe I am using Baileys. This liquor is with Irish cream and have already a coffee caramel flavor. The original tiramisu recipe is with Italian masala wine. This type of wine isn’t easy to find, that’s why I am using Baileys. You can use other liquors like Amaretto or Kahlua as well.
When I am making tiramisu, I am using free range eggs (Medium sized). The most important part is to devide the yolks and egg whites. Both parts need sugar and mix this on high speed! Egg white must be white and foamy and the yolks have a little bit vanilla flavor. The original recipe isn’t with vanilla and most of the time with Masala wine only!
Illy espresso coffee mixed with Baileys Irish cream
Baileys Irish cream tiramisu is a coffee dessert with lady finger cookies. For this recipe it is important to use strong coffee. I am using espresso coffee and mix this with Baileys Irish cream. Baileys liquor has already coffee/caramel flavor and mix excellent with espresso coffee. You can use other coffee for this recipe as well. Make sure it is strong coffee and Arabica dark roasted.

Tiramisu is recognizable for the delicious cream and lady finger cookies. When I have set strong coffee or espresso, I dip the lady fingers in coffee on room temperature. The lady fingers becomes weak and can break easy! That’s why it is important to work careful with the lady fingers cookies. For our catering business we prepare our tiramisu in disposable cups because it is for take away service. When you decide to prepare this recipe at home, you can use a rectangular baking dish.
Mascarpone with sweetened foamy egg whites for Tiramisu recipe
Mascarpone is the dairy cream for Baileys Irish cream tiramisu. Don’t use other creams like cream cheese or sour cream, this will ruin your tiramisu dessert. Mascarpone cream is available in many grocery stores and you can find this in the dairy or cheese section. Before you start working on this recipe, make sure your mascarpone is on room temperature. When mascarpone is cold, you will see alot of lumps when you start folding with egg whites. When mascarpone is smooth this is easy to fold with a spatula.
