Crispy babybel cheese fritters

Whenever you have a party, crispy babybel cheese fritters are easy to make. Almost every grocery store sells French babybel cheese rounds. Babybel cheeses are in a net and wrapped in red plastic. The only thing you have to do is unwrap these cheese rounds and they are ready for use! For this recipe you need flour, egg wash, bread crumbs and oil to deepfry. Within 5 minutes you have something gooey to serve to your guests.

You can serve thise crispy babybels as party snack, appetizer or a good football game. You will see your plate will be empty soon! Serve this crispy babybel cheese fritters with mustard or hotsauce dip. Your guests will love this! One bite into these babybel cheese and the gooey part will give you a delicious satisfaction.

Directions

  1. Unwrap each babybel cheese and dust each cheese round with all purpose flour. Make sure the sides are with flour too! Otherwise they will burst during frying!
  2. Dip each babybel into egg wash and after this through breadcrumbs and lay them on a plate.
  3. Preheat sunflower oil to 375F/180C and deepfry them on both sides for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown of color.
  4. After deepfrying put each babybel cheese on a piece of kitchen towel to drain the extra fat. After 5 minutes they are ready to serve.

Each babybel net contains 10 babybel cheese rounds and this recipe is good for 20 fritters. When you like to make more cheese fritters, double the recipe!   • 4 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 egg (whisked) egg wash
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • Sunflour oil to fry

Notes

For this recipe you can use Ketchup, Ketchup with Tabasco or Dijon mustard as well. * Use new oil * When you use Panko bread crumbs, mince this for a couple of pulses in your food processor first before use.
