- 190 grams Pastry flour (Type 00)
- 140 grams butter (cold in cubes)
- 80 grams extra fine granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp Whole milk
- 1/4 tsp Coarse salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 tsp Vanilla sugar

Butter vanilla crumbles recipe is especially voor apple and other pie recipes. When you see a crumble recipe, you see there is no flavor! The focus of these type of recipes are how you can get it crumbled? Well the crumble part is a matter of using good quality of cold butter and type 00 flour. This type of flour is pastry flour. You can use all purpose flour for this recipe as well. This type of flour is plain and isn’t extra fine sifted! When you can find extra fine sifted flour, that will be a better option. For this recipe you can use a hand or stand mixer. Mix on low speed 140 grams butter (in cubes) 80 grams exrta fine granulated sugar and 2 tsp vanilla sugar.
The butter and sugar starts to combine on low speed.
Add 1 tbsp of whole milk and 1/4 tsp of coarse salt to the butter .mix.
Use a strainer and sift 190 grams of flour. Mix on low speed with butter and sugar intil incormprated.
Rub the dough with both hands until it starts to crumble. Make sure all crumbles have the same size!
Refrige crumbles at least 2 hours. When crumbles stay over night in the refrigerator, the dough will adjust to the flavor. Your crumbles are ready for pie decoration or any other recipe with crumbles.
