  • 8 oz Philadelphia creamcheese (1 package)
  • 3 tbsp Creme fraiche culinairy cream
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh grated sea salt or Fleur de sel
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh grated pepper of choice
  • 6 to 8 Peppadew peppers
  • 1 tsp Chili pepper flakes (optional)

Spicy peppadew dip

Spicy peppadew dip is a spicy cream with South African peppadew peppers. These peppers are mild and lately you see these peppers filled with cream cheese. When you like peppers or spicy food, this is a great cocktail hour snack. there is also cream which you can use for dip or tapas food. Try to taste a peppadew up front and test your pepper levels! Spicy peppadew dip is delicious on toast, potatoe chips dipper and on bread. There are two options to make this spicy cream. Mix with mashed peppadew peppers. When this is not spicy enough, mix this with pepper flakes or hotsauce of choice. Our catering service does add sambal flakes.. You can add any dry flaked pepper to the recipe.



  1. Mix with a food processor 6 to 8 peppadew peppers. Do not mince! Give it about 10 to 12 pulses.
  2. Add 8 oz (1 package) of Philadelphia cream cheese and 3 tbsp of culinairy cream. Mix this together with peppadew in a food processor!
  3. Give your peppadew dip more flavor with 1/2 tsp of fresh grated sea salt, 1/2 tsp of fresh grated pepper. This needs a few pulses.
  4. Using pepper flakes or hotsauce is optional. Try first of this is spicy enough. When you think it can use more pepper, add 1/2 or 1 tsp of chili flakes to the batch. Pulse this mix and your peppadew dip is ready!
  5. Store this cream for a few hours in the frige before use.
