  • 16 fl oz or 1/2 Litre Heavy cream (minimum 35% fat)
  • 2 tbsp Extra fine granulated sugar

Sweet European whipped cream

Sweet European whipped cream is a sweet cream for baking recipes. Whipped cream suppose to be sweet when it comes to any baking recipe! In some parts of the world this isn’t common! It is only foamy without flavor! When you decide to make an European baking recipe, you need sweet whipped cream! For this recipe you only need granulated sugar and at least 35% fat heavy cream. Pastry chefs use 40% fat heavy cream. Only this is hard to find in stores! Wholesale stores do have more professional ingredients including higher percentage of heavy cream. Make sure you have a stainless steel bowl and should be very cold. When I am preparing this recipe, I store my stainless steel bowl in the freezer for 30 to 45 minutes.



  1. Use a medium or large stainless steel bowl and keep it in the freezer for about 30 to 45 minutes.
  2. Mix on highspeed 16 fl oz or 1/2 litre of heavy cream with 2 tbsp of extra fine granulated sugar until foamy.
  3. the mixing part takes about 3 to 4 minutes. Depends on the fat percentage of the heavy cream.
  4. Store your whipped cream in a container. You can keep this refriged for 3 to 4 days.

Besides baking recipes, whipped cream is also very common in vanilla ice cream. European pastry shops do sell in the spring and summer freshmade ice creams.
