- 4 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Truffle tapenade
- 1 tbsp Crème fraiche or sour cream
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
The last few years truffle aioli mayonnaise became very popular. Our Truffle aioli mayonnaise recipe is an easy one and within a few minutes ready! You don’t need much ingredients for this recipe, but a good quality of mayonnaise is a must! You can use this mayonnaise as a dip and on tapas menu’s. Aoili mayonnaise is a very popular item when you serve tapas. With a black truffle flavor to your mayonnaise, you will create a wonderful dip!
For this recipe you only need a medium size bowl and a whisk. When you have a small food processor with a plastic blade, you can make this dip in a split second very smooth. When your mayo is ready, you can put it in a container and store this in the refrigerator for 3 days. Please see our directions below!
Mince 1 large clove of garlic first. Do this by hand or small food processor first.
Mix 4 tbsp of mayonnaise with 1 tbsp of crème fraîche or sour cream. Mix well until creamy!
Add 1 tbsp of truffle tapenade, 1 tsp of lemon juice and minced garlic. Whisk of mix until all ingredients until you have a smooth mayonnaise dip.
Serve this Truffle aioli mayonnaise in a medium sized bowl or store in a container. Keep this mayonnaise in the refrigerator!
When you like to make this recipe, I recommend you to use a good brand of truffle tapenade. Cheaper brands use mushrooms instead of black truffles. The flavor comes from truffle aroma and food color. With that it is easier to make truffle tapenade. There are also truffle tapenades with tomato. Those are not good for truffle mayonnaise! You can use this mayo dip for steaks, tapas menu’s and bbq. Garlic is optional in this recipe! You can exchange fresh garlic for ground garlic powder. A 1/2 tsp is enough.
